Prices on this site are ranges, not quotes
This is the most important thing on this page. Every price on this website — on service pages, in cost guides, and from the cost calculator — is a planning range based on typical jobs in this area. It is not an offer, a quote, or a binding price.
Actual pricing depends on what is found on site, and chimney work in particular has a large unknown component: the condition of a flue liner, and how far masonry deterioration extends, are not knowable until the chimney is scanned and examined. A written quote following an on-site assessment is the only price you should rely on, and it is free.
The cost calculator and sweep checker
Both tools are estimation and screening aids. The calculator produces a range from the factors you enter; it cannot see your property and cannot account for what is behind a wall. The sweep checker scores how overdue your chimney is likely to be based on your answers; it is a screening aid, not an inspection, and it cannot confirm whether a flue is safe to use.
Both run entirely in your browser. Nothing you enter is transmitted to us or stored anywhere.
